feminism for all: a substack newsletter

feminism for all is a successful newsletter about ending rape culture, stopping rape, and intersectional feminist theory. Within its first year, it grew to over 22,000 subscribers, became a Substack bestseller, and one of Substack’s top 100 philosophy newsletters. Over 38,000 folks subscribed within the first year and a half.

The idea behind feminism for all is to help readers think & educate them about ending gender-based oppression and improving material conditions for women, with special focuses on stopping rape and sexual misconduct, improving outcomes for survivors, reforming feminism’s lack of inclusivity, and addressing internalized misogyny.

I work to end oppression of all kinds; I chose feminism as my focus is because of my decade-long background in survivor advocacy. My feminism is not a comfortable, ego-soothing version; it challenges readers, and is radical, intersectional, and de-colonialist.

My writing might be called braided essay, narrative non-fiction or auto-theory; that is, I weave together strands of personal narrative, data and statistics, and the work of earlier philosophers into each essay that I write. Each essay is thoroughly researched, with 10 - 20 citations carefully footnoted and/or cited in-line. For the first 16 months of writing, I published 2 - 3 essays a week; I’m now publishing 2 - 3 per months here.
