Interested in becoming informed & developing techniques to prevent & effectively, empathetically respond to sexual misconduct and assault?

I’ve developed a series of workshops and webinars to guide you.

*There are a combination of free webinars, paid webinars, and long-form workshops over Zoom. Free ones in the bottom row…

Who are these workshops designed for?

The workshops and webinars are designed for a range of people: changemakers and movement builders; women, men, non-binary folks; victims, survivors, and people who have and/or want to support them; and the long-form workshops are for community and organization leaders invested in preventing sexual violence in their organization, and learning about how to deal with it if it happens.

While they include deep theoretical knowledge, they’re focused on developing practices of care, relational- and community-based responsibility, approaching situations in deeply trauma-informed ways, while also informing you of the practical, not-so-pleasant realities.

Who this workshop is for: this workshop was designed based off of individualized advising I’ve provided to community & organization leaders over the past six years. It’s designed for community leaders (including event organizers and movement builders), and for leaders/management in smaller organizations (50 employees/less) who are not ready or not in need of personalized one-on-one advising.

The first class will be on August 24 (skipping over labor day weekend), and September 7, 14, 21, 28, and the last class will be October 5. It will be held every Sunday, at 3 p.m. PT / 6 pm ET.

If you’re interested and want to learn more before signing up, I’ve also set up a free (donation-based) webinar for Monday, August 11, that will get into the basics of sexual misconduct prevention. This will give you an idea of what will be covered in this longer workshop.

  • Webinar: Trauma-Informed Responses to Victims of Sexual Harassment & Assault

In this three hour webinar, you’ll learn empathetic, harm reducing ways to response to victims of sexual harassment & assault. This will address how to avoid victim-blaming, and acknowledge and mitigate the usual harm that victims experience following telling friends, family, and community/organization members about their experience.

I’ll included a short (one page) outline & scripted responses that I will share with you at the end of the course.

This course will be held Thursday, July 31, at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET.

  • Workshop: Recognizing Abusers: Spotting Predatory Behaviors Early

Abusers and sexual predators often select and set up their targeted victims over a short or long period of time. Their behaviors are recognizable if you know what to look for. I’ve learned to discern these patterns quickly through hearing well over a hundred stories of assault, and this workshop is designed to help you do the same.

In this two part workshop, you'll learn to recognize boundary-testing, boundary-pushing, gaslighting, moving-too-fast-to-think-or-stop behaviors that predatory people use on their targets before their abuse begins.

I'll provide you with scripts and examples so make this more clear.

There will be two two-hour sessions: Thursday, August 21 and Thursday, August 28 at 5 pm PT/8 pm ET.

  • FREE Webinar: Victim-Blaming Tropes & Understanding DARVO

In this 90 minute webinar, you’ll learn more about DARVO (deny-attack, reverse victim-offender), and how perpetrators of harm create tell their stories to make themselves out to be the victims.

At the end of the webinar, I’ll share a one-pager of ideas and information for you to have as reference.

This course will be held Sunday, July 27, 3 pm PT/6 pm ET. Please register (linked below) for zoom link.

  • Free Webinar: Understanding the basics of how to stop sexual misconduct & sexual violence

In this two hour webinar, you’ll learn how what you’ve learned how sexual misconduct doesn’t work, and what’s more effective.

You’ll learn about how recognize predatory behavior early-on, what steps you can take to prevent it from escalating into full-blown harassment or assault, and how to build more safe communities and organizations.

This course will be held Monday, August 11, 5 pm PT/8pm ET.

Please register below; I’ll send out a webinar link August 10 to all registered attendees.
